I supported in carrying out research on used vehicles Globally, in particular:
o Number of used vehicles imported into Africa by exporting countries.
o Quality of the used vehicles imported in terms of age, and emission standards.
o Regulations/restrictions in importing countries.

o Proposing policies and strategies to promote cleaner mobility.
I supported in maintaining and updating geospatial database on the used vehicles and cleaner mobility initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
I assisted in developing and maintaining geospatial metadata and documenting the datasets on the UNEP’s transport website to ensure their accessibility and usability.
I supported in performing geospatial analysis (raster and vector) by combing ArcGIS, Python, and HTML to construct an interactive dashboard that provides temporal patterns on used car imports using maps, charts, and tables of various factors (raster and vector) with Python standard tools and modules.
I assisted in preparing online web maps at global levels, using desktop and web-based GIS, and for publishing on the UNEP’s Transport website.
I supported in providing administrative and substantive support to consultative and other meetings and conferences.
I supported in promoting the dissemination of sustainable mobility examples in Africa.

I supported in updating, standardizing, and georeferencing outdated Maps in ArcMap, ensuring accurate CAD model scaling.

GIS Contractor - March 2022-May 2022

I helped map KPLC meters within Nairobi County using the field maps application.
I was tasked with collaborating with the data manager to verify that data entered into the system was error-free before any analysis was performed.
I wrote summary reports on emerging issues during data collection.
Assisted in digitizing the pole meters and transformers to the original management sheets for the whole county.
Supported in planning, organizing, and implementing practical training on GIS in workshops, seminars, and conferences.

International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)

Volunteer Data Analyst - Aug 2021-Feb2022

I supported in mapping the locations of resources, including vegetation, soil water content, subterranean water availability, and suitable lands for farming using various geospatial methods (GPS, remote sensing, geofencing, etc.) that are readily available.
I assisted in manipulating, analyzing, and presenting geographical information by combining various forms of GIS data and developing new information to study agricultural production trends and produce interesting dashboards for the top executive.
Took part in preparing presentation materials by preparing PowerPoint slides and using Ms. Excel to generate diagrammatic bar graphs and pie charts to be used in presentations.
I worked with Diversity Arrays Technologies (Dart) to share findings and lessons learned about using geospatial technology for climate change adaptation.
Participated in field data collection, data entry and double-checking reports for accuracy and grammar correctness in CCAFS program sites at a regional scale.
I supported in generating reports and work orders using various databases and summarized and presented conclusions for review by my supervisor.
Provided support with office equipment by ensuring all equipment was in good working condition.

I supported in mapping forest resources and delineated firebreaks using ArcMap.
Supported in GIS analysis of forest firebreaks using ArcGIS, QGIS software and Web GIS.

Provided research support using forest alert tools and land cover change detection analysis.
