I am Richard Gachiri, a recent graduate of Strathmore University where attained a bachelor degree in business and information technology. I specialized in programming and business intelligence. I am currently undergoing an three month internship at Aga Khan University Hospital under the ICT department. During my stay at Aga Khan University Hospital I assisted in the smooth transition of the new EHR system. I was the IT person in charge of one of the clinics during the go live under minimal supervision where I assisted the outreach clinic personnel in understanding the new system.

Experience

Aga Khan University Hospital.

EHR IT Intern - October 5th 2022 - January 5th 2023.

• During go live of the new EHR system I was the head of IT at one Aga Khan clinics, Thika road Akai clinic, for the whole month of November. I helped the staff of the clinic in understanding and attending to the issues that involved the system for example billing issues, registration issues among others. I also helped in IT related issues mainly the software and hardware issues. This included fixing the printer, computers, maintaining and updating the software needed in the new system, making sure that the network was working well at all times, making sure the lab analyzers were well connected to the network

Digital Oasis Limited

• Assisted in the main pharmacy in recording, sorting storing and packaging of medicines for distribution to the various branches of Gertrudes Children Hospital.
