PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Mr Geoffrey Kipkoech Rotich is a proficient Civil and Structural engineering professional with over fifteen years proven track record and extensive demonstrable experience in infrastructure development, facilities management and maintenance. He has working experience with Project and Estate managers, contractors and consultants in both public and private sector. He is highly organized, efficient, personable and able to deliver consistently high results in challenging and pressurized work environment.
Mr. Rotich is currently an inspector of Roads with Kenya Rural Roads Authority Sigort to Tamkal road project where he is tasked with onsite supervision of road works in progress to ensure compliance with road standards and adherence to contract specifications.
He worked at The Nairobi Hospital as an Assistant Engineer where he delivered excellent results in turning around the hospitals infrastructure facilities maintenance and construction works by regular monitoring of all Civil Works and Facilities by use of bills of quantities for building and civil works, project management and construction planning tools in handling both internal and external resources to achieving work output within timelines and budgetary controls. He also developed work methodology to meet expected standards and quality in conformance to desirable hospital performance. He ensured compliance with the hospitals engineering and maintenance policies, procedures, processes and standards to achieving required key performance index.
Mr. Rotich has also worked at Moi University Eldoret as acting Estates Manager where he improved the departments operations and procedures in facilities and infrastructure maintenance to conform to the international standard organization, ISO 2015 thus aligning improving environment for learning.
At Bomet University College where he was redeployed to work as Project clerk of works to initiate the new constituent colleges new infrastructure facilities valued at Kenya shillings one billion and three hundred million. The works entailed the construction of a high rise tuition block, a multi-purpose hall, two number student hostel block and a library building, he delivered ninety-five percent completion and was within budget and time lines by the time he was redeployed back.
Prior to joining Bomet University College Mr. Rotich successfully worked as Project clerk of works at Moi University’s School of Law Library Project from inception to completion. The project had a cost value of Kenya shillings two hundred and ten million, this was a four framed reinforced concrete building with a plinth area of one thousand and eight hundred square meters.
He has also worked as a facilities maintenance officer at Moi University and University of Eldoret. He ensured preventive and corrective maintenance was carried out within scheduled timelines and according to priority in order to meet expected service level and customer expectations. RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Contributed in establishing road benchmarks, road alignment and topographic survey for the Sigor to Tamkal road project within scheduled time and to precise controls that enabled road design to be effected within the set time lines.
Involved in structural design and supervision from inception to completion of a four storied reinforced concrete hostel block with plinth area of 390 square metres for Mr Stephen Kosgey at Eldoret
Was involved in January 2021 in redesign and rerouting alteration using Auto Cad civil 3D of waste water drainage system at Nairobi Hospital South field outpatient Centre solving completely a persistent blockage and improving sanitation to customer business satisfaction.
In 2020 I was involved Implementation of workable facilities checklist, inspection of facilities maintenance procedure, developing inspection schedule and programme of works improving the maintenance customer satisfaction level and improving repair downtime by twenty-five percent
As the project Clerk of Works for the Bomet University college infrastructure construction I was able to contribute in achieving 100% completion of its tuition block, 35% combined for multi storied Library, Multipurpose Hall and Student Hostels from 2017 to 2018
