The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) invites competent, self-motivated, and qualified professionals for the following vacant positions:

ICT ASSISTANT, KNEC GRADE 9

(a) Job Specifications

The duties and responsibilities will entail:

(i) Developing, testing and implementing software applications according to instructions and specifications;
(ii) Providing end-user support and training;
(iii) Maintaining and repairing computer hardware and optical mark reader equipment;
(iv) Monitoring the performance of systems and assisting with the identification of potential issues and proposing solutions;
(v) Reporting any incidences and faults; and
(vi) Contributing to the development of reference materials and assisting ICT end-users with the maintenance of documentation on system configurations and technical processes.

(b) Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

(i) Diploma in Computer Science/Information Communication Technology, Electronics Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
(ii) Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution for successful applicants.

(c) Key Competencies, skills and attitudes

(i) Communication and reporting skills;
(ii) Interpersonal skills;
(iii) Team player;
(iv) Integrity;
(v) Result oriented.
