Adili Solar Hubs Limited is a social enterprise transforming African rural communities with sustainable energy.

Adili Solar Hubs was born out of a profound understanding of the environmental and economic struggles faced by communities in Turkana County. We envision a solution that integrates renewable energy with community development. Established as a result of this vision, Adili reflects a commitment deeply rooted in ethical practices and sustainable progress.

Since 2020 we have been a pioneering force in establishing sustainable fish supply chains by incorporating renewable energy solutions.

Duration: Until January 2025
Start date: 1st May 2024


  1. Conduct environmental assessments along the fish value chain to identify potential environmental impacts and risks associated with project activities.
  2. Assist in developing environmental management plans and mitigation strategies to minimize adverse effects on ecosystems, natural resources, and local communities.
  3. Collect and analyze data related to carbon emissions, energy consumption, water usage, waste management, and other environmental indicators.
  4. Support sustainability initiatives within the project, including promoting resource efficiency, waste reduction, and renewable energy integration.
  5. Collaborate with project stakeholders, including local communities, governmental bodies, and non-governmental organizations, to address environmental concerns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Assist in monitoring and evaluating the environmental performance of project activities, including conducting field surveys, collecting samples, and analyzing data.
  7. Contribute to the development of environmental impact assessments, environmental monitoring plans, and other technical reports.
  8. Stay informed about current environmental policies, regulations, and best practices to inform project decision-making and ensure compliance with environmental standards.


  • Degree in environmental science, ecology, natural resource management, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in environmental sustainability, conservation, and ecosystem management.
  • Knowledge of environmental assessment methodologies, impact mitigation strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques, including field sampling, laboratory analysis, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to address complex environmental challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
