The New Kenya Planters Co-operative Union Public Limited Company (NKPCU Plc) was established under the State Corporations Act Cap 446 Laws of Kenya under the Ministry of Cooperatives Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development. It is mandated to Mill, Warehouse and Market coffee, Optimize the assets of the Company and Administration of the Coffee Cherry Advance Revolving Fund.

The Company wishes to recruit results oriented Kenyan citizens with drive, vision, and creativity to fill positions in Nairobi and branch offices to ensure delivery of its mandates.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT NK.8 – (1) POSTS

Grade: Supply Chain Management Assistant NK.8 – (1) Posts
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary: Kshs. 47,714 (Minimum) – Kshs. 69,326 (maximum)
Other remunerations: Based on prevailing Government guidelines
Reporting to Senior Supply Chain Management Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Undertaking market research, surveys and analysis;
(ii) Implementing procurement plans and processing requisitions;
(iii) Participating in sourcing, supplier evaluation, inviting offers, negotiations and contracting;
(iv) Inspecting utilization and stock of supplies;
(v) Participating in drafting bid awards;
(vi) Drafting tender advertisement notices; and
(vii) Verifying payment documents for goods and services delivered to the Company by suppliers.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

(i) Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Procurement or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(ii) Proficiency in computer application skills; and
(iii) Fulfilled the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
(iv) An Applicant with at least two (2) years’ experience in similar position will have an added advantage
