Terms of Service: Temporary Engagement (1 year contract, Non-renewable)
Salary Scale: Ksh. 24,884 p.m.
Leave Entitlement: 21 working days per financial year

(A) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –

  1. processing payments.
  2. Verifying payment vouchers and bank reconciliation statements following laid down financial rules and regulations.
  3. Compiling information required in the budgetary process and participating in preparation of budget estimates.
  4. Compiling and formatting financial estimates.
  5. Taking initial action on budget monitoring.
  6. Preparing reports and briefs on budgetary allocations.

(B) Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Accounting/ Finance option), Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  2. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
  3. A minimum of one-year working experience in a comparable position preferably in a Public Institution.
  4. Part I &II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
