Accounts Clerk Intern

Stawika is a kenyan digital lender, that automatically evaluates mobile financial history against conventional data as well as social capital to assign credit.

We offer credit facilities to Kenyans seeking emergency funds and those without access to formal financial services.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk Intern to join our finance team. The intern will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, including data entry, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience in financial administration and learn key accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Process and track invoices and payments
• Support month-end and year-end accounting procedures
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
• Prepare and update financial reports as needed
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed CPA (Minimum of a pass intermediate level)
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an advantage
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Duration: 6 months

Stipend: KES 20,000 per month
