IT, Data and Automation Internship

British American Tobacco Kenya has an exciting opportunity for an IDT Intern in Nairobi.

The role’s objectives include data analysis, data science, automation, and IT support to optimize business operations. Key responsibilities include managing data systems, streamlining processes, and providing technical support for CRM and factory systems.

REPORTS TO: Business Analyst – Transformation, ESA

DURATION: Fixed Term – 1 year

LEVEL OF SENIORITY: Internship

Your key responsibilities will include:

Process Automation:

• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process automation.
• Develop and implement automation solutions.

Reports Automation:

• Assist in designing and automating reports to streamline data analysis and decision-making processes.
• Create interactive and insightful visualizations.

Network Support:

• Provide assistance in maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
• Participate in network upgrades, installations, and configurations.

CRM System Management:

• Support the administration and customization of CRM systems.
• Assist in data management, user training, and system enhancements.

Factory Systems Management:

• Contribute to the management and optimization of systems used in factory operations.
• Assist in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production systems.

Developing Machine Learning Models:

• Work alongside data scientists to develop and refine machine learning models.
• Participate in data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation tasks.

 Education / Qualifications / Experience/Skills Required

• Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Technical skills in Power BI, Power App, Power Automate, Python, Google analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyse data and extract meaningful insights.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in technology and organizational needs.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
