Should you be successful, you will be based in either of the locations mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p>The Business Associate will join our team with core responsibilities as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Client Mobilization (10% of your time)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and enroll entrepreneurs in their location(s) based on the criteria and quota to be enrolled in the program<\/li>\n<li>Communicate program details to refugee participants, and confirm messages have been received.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Inkomoko Kenya as an ambassador and participate in outreach activities to existing structures in refugee communities.<\/li>\n<li>Advise on participants\u2019 criteria to fit the culture and existing businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate to Inkomoko Kenya leadership about any challenge faced by participants during program implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training (40% of your time)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that all the entrepreneurs in the program are informed and attend all the training.<\/li>\n<li>Organize all the training logistics: printing training materials, setting up the training venue, recording attendance, and starting the training on time.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the BDA in the training using Inkomoko training materials in Swahili and English<\/li>\n<li>Review and advise the Senior Trainer on necessary changes to the training modules.<\/li>\n<li>Complete all the training programs in the due time and within budget.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Business Consulting &amp; Client Relationship Management (40% of the time)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The intake process for entrepreneurs, including baseline M&amp;E and tracking in our electronic system.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting monthly site visits to assess business needs and opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Generate cash flow statements and profitability analyses with clients<\/li>\n<li>Provide informed, strategic, and realistic advice helping the client meet their objectives, or shift their objectives towards better sustainability\/profitability.<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing site visits to provide real-time advising to solve business changes and grow businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Connect clients to other Inkomoko \u00a0 Kenya services, including training and access to finance.<\/li>\n<li>Keep up-to-date with the clients\u2019 business information in an accurate manner.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the investment team with applications for finance, due diligence, and clients\u2019 investment payments.<\/li>\n<li>Organize group consulting sessions and refresher training for clients?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Coordination and administration (10% time)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a good relationship with all partners and local authorities in the region.<\/li>\n<li>Provide weekly and monthly reports on time.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Senior Trainer and Business Development Manager to organize activities.<\/li>\n<li>Assist other Inkomoko Kenya staff with all the region\u2019s communications.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure activities are done in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the MEL team with surveys and data collection.<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:<\/h3>\n<p>The ideal candidate will fulfill the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1+ years of work experience in a relevant or applicable field.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in consulting, business planning, and providing business advice.<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial and accounting skills; familiarity with business financial policies in Kenya<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and able to deliver results under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Excel and Word.<\/li>\n<li>Good written and oral communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good presentation and training skills.<\/li>\n<li>Shows perseverance, personal integrity, and critical thinking skills.<\/li>\n<li>Outgoing and social.<\/li>\n<li>Honest and professional.<\/li>\n<li>University education OR currently pursuing it.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communicator to audiences in Swahili and English<\/li>\n<li>Access to a smartphone 24\/7 is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate should not be employed by any other organization with camp\/settlement\u00a0activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>WHAT YOU\u2019LL GET<\/h4>\n<p>This role is inside a high-growth, mission-driven social enterprise.
