We are a regulated, well-established Deposit Taking (DT) Savings and Credit Co-operative Society for all Professionals with membership of over 26,000 spread globally. We are seeking to recruit highly qualified result-oriented individuals for the following positions.<\/p>\n

LOAN PROCESSING ASSISTANT<\/h2>\n

Department:<\/strong> Operations<\/p>\n

Workstation:<\/strong> Nairobi<\/p>\n

Reports to<\/strong>: Loan Processing Manager<\/p>\n

Section<\/strong>:\u00a0 Loan Processing<\/p>\n

JOB PURPOSE<\/h4>\n

To ensure that applied loans are accurately appraised ,processed and timely communication to members is done.<\/p>\n

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Attend to members\u2019 queries on loan enquiries.<\/li>\n
  2. Accurate and timely appraising and processing of all loans by observing the set policies, procedures, and service charter.<\/li>\n
  3. Review and validating data\/information on all loan application forms before appraisal and forwarding for approval.<\/li>\n
  4. Collateral management during loan processing and ensuring all securities are properly perfected before approval and disbursement of loans.<\/li>\n
  5. Make constant communication and follow up with both the guarantors and borrowers on the loan processing status and pending matters for actioning within the stipulated timeframes.<\/li>\n
  6. Custody and safe keeping of documents during loan processing.<\/li>\n
  7. Ensure confidentiality of member information on loan processing in line with the code of conduct.<\/li>\n
  8. Ensure all long outstanding loan processing issues are escalated to the supervisor.<\/li>\n
  9. Marketing and selling of society products and services.<\/li>\n
  10. Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE<\/h3>\n

    Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. A bachelor\u2019s degree in a business management related course or any other related field.<\/li>\n
    2. A professional qualification in accounting CPA K or Credit Management CCP<\/li>\n
    3. Successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya by obtaining the necessary documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Minimum years of experience required<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Minimum 2 years relevant experience and in a similar position in loan appraisal and processing.<\/p>\n

      Minimum skills and key attributes required<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Credit risk\/security evaluation.<\/li>\n
      2. Negotiation skills<\/li>\n
      3. Analytical and statistical skills.<\/li>\n
      4. Good People, Communication and Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n
      5. Excellent time management, planning and organization skills<\/li>\n
      6. Time management skills<\/li>\n
      7. Strong Ethical standards and integrity<\/li>\n
      8. Good knowledge of the market and the Society\u2019s products and services<\/li>\n
