Position:<\/strong> Monitoring Evaluation Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Intern<\/p>\n

Direct hierarchy<\/strong>: Senior Monitoring Evaluation Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Officer<\/p>\n

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Intern is responsible for assisting the Senior MEAL Officer in designing and developing appropriate and viable monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems that are in line with the Acted\u2019s global MEAL procedures and to ensure that Acted\u2019s projects and programs perform as planned.<\/p>\n

General Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Support MEAL Team:<\/strong>\u00a0Assist the Senior MEAL Officer in overseeing MEAL activities across field bases.<\/li>\n
  2. Filing and Documentation:<\/strong>\u00a0Maintain a proper filing system for MEAL reports and data. Ensure all documents are easily accessible.<\/li>\n
  3. Data Review:<\/strong>\u00a0Review entered data in databases to ensure consistency with Acted\u2019s information management standards. Follow up on any quality control issues.<\/li>\n
  4. Report Preparation:<\/strong>\u00a0Assist in the initial drafting and review of MEAL factsheet reports, memos, and other narrative reports. Liaise with field teams to ensure all queries are addressed.<\/li>\n
  5. Lessons Learned:<\/strong>\u00a0Support the identification and documentation of lessons learned and best practices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Specific Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. Data Collection:<\/strong>\u00a0Assist in the development and implementation of data collection tools and methodologies (e.g., surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews).<\/li>\n
    2. Monitoring and Evaluation:<\/strong>\u00a0Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects, including baseline, mid-term, post-distribution monitoring and endline assessments.<\/li>\n
    3. Accountability:<\/strong>\u00a0Contribute to the effective functioning of Acted\u2019 beneficiary complaints and response mechanism.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Qualifications:<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Education:<\/strong>\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics).<\/li>\n
      • Skills:<\/strong>\u00a0Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and excellent communication skills.<\/li>\n
      • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, R, SPSS, or similar software is required.
        \nAttention to Detail:<\/strong>\u00a0Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy in data collection and reporting.<\/li>\n
      • Team Player:<\/strong>\u00a0Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with colleagues.<\/li>\n
