Alliance solutions address the global crisis of malnutrition, climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">With novel partnerships, the Alliance generates evidence and mainstream innovations to transform food systems and landscapes so that they sustain the planet, drive prosperity, and nourish people in a climate crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Alliance is part of CGIAR, a global research partnership for a food-secure future.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span lang=\"EN-US\">About the position<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Grants Intern under the supervision of the Grants Analyst will support the administration of institutional research grants and sub-grants and the development of new processes and tools for their administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span lang=\"EN-US\">Main responsibilities<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Review and ensure that the organization ERP \u2013 UBW information is up to date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Assist in tracking amendments and agreements received during the month to update the monthly report.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Update the ongoing project list with this information and share it with relevant people on a monthly basis.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Keep up to date monthly report to facilitate mitigation gap report information.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Prepare acknowledgement letters for funds received from donors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Prepare project closure letters<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Update the physical files with the relevant documentation generated during the project lifecycle. E.g. Invoices, reports, letters etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Assist with retrieving required documents during audit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Dispatch Project documents to donors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Assist with gathering and compiling documentation from partners during the due diligence process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Facilitate the tracking of the partner assessments and keep UBW up to date (suppliers- assessments), gather documents (profile forms, bank certifications and others)\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Any other tasks as assigned<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Education qualifications and experience<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Related fields.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">1 year experience in a busy office providing Grants Management Support<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Basic understanding of Grant Funding processes and budgeting<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Familiarity with Financial reporting and Compliance requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Understanding of donor relations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Strong Analytical and Organizational skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Good communication and report writing skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Terms of employment<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">This is a nationally recruited position based in Nairobi, Kenya. The initial contract will be for period of three (3) months and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
