The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) is a Government of Kenya (GOK) project funded by an International Development Association (IDA). The project objective is to increase employment, earnings and promote savings for targeted youth, at national scale. The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority is implementing Component 2 of the project, which aims to expand employment opportunities through entrepreneurship development and support to social enterprises with the objective to address key constraints and market failures that limit the participation of vulnerable youth, aged 18\u2014 29 years and up to 35 years for PWDs, in productive entrepreneurship. The project wishes to fill the following vacancies;<\/p>\n

Project Assistants (8 Regions)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Terms of service<\/strong>: 1 year contract renewable subject to performance.<\/p>\n

The project Assistant is responsible for the various technical and operational aspects of the project within the assigned area.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

The Project Assistants will provide technical and administrative support to the assigned project leads\/ regional offices in the day-to-day activities of the Project. The specific duties include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Support the preparation and review of various project documents\/instruments;<\/li>\n
  • Assist in the coordination of outreach for the project;<\/li>\n
  • Assist in implementation of various project activities as assigned by the supervisor;<\/li>\n
  • Provide support in monitoring and evaluation of the project interventions;<\/li>\n
  • Assist in developing regular reports for the various project activities;<\/li>\n
  • Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Project Coordinator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h3>\n

    For appointment to this position, candidates must have:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • A Bachelors Degree or Diploma in a business related field;<\/li>\n
    • Two years relevant experience;<\/li>\n
