Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi is a Five Star luxury hotel situated on Chiromo Road, the hotel is just a 5-minute drive to the city centre, and 20 km from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The hotel boasts of 200 stylishly-designed and tastefully-decorated rooms and suites spread on 10 floors, 5 themed restaurants, varied conference rooms plus Kempinski The Spa.<\/p>\n

Reporting to the Training Manager, the trainee will be responsible for learning and familiarizing with various activities and operations within their departments. He\/She will be required to uphold company policies and requirements at all times.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

Under the supervision of the Departmental Trainer and Training Manager, the intern shall learn to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Support the Revenue & Reservations Manager and the Reservation Agents in their day-to-day activities and to assist them in achieving their personal and team objectives.<\/li>\n
  • Determine and implement the procedures and standards of an effective filing system.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain an up-to-date operating manual of the department, incl. policies and procedures, rules and regulations<\/li>\n
  • All inquiries to be dealt with within 24 hours.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality of information passing though the office<\/li>\n
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and attitude toward all hotel guests, clients, and colleagues.<\/li>\n
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations established in the employee handbook and the hotel\u2019s policy on fire, hygiene, health & safety.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.<\/li>\n
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to them by management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise<\/h3>\n

    - Degree\/ Diploma in Hospitality\/Hotel management from a recognized learning institution
    \n- No work experience is required
    \n- Less than one year since completion (2024\/2025)
    \n- Kenyan Citizen
    \n- Completed coursework (If even if not graduated)
    \n- Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
    \n- Excellent grooming skills and must be well-versed in professional and personal etiquette
    \n- Good Communication skills
