The Kenya Trade Network Agency (KenTrade) is a State Corporation under the National Treasury whose mandate is to implement, operationalize and manage the National Electronic Single Window System (NESWS) known as the Trade Facilitation Platform as well as trade facilitation.<\/p>\n
To fulfil our mandate, we wish to engage suitably qualified candidates who also meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Kenya Constitution for the following positions;<\/p>\n
Product and Application Development Officer\u2013 KTNA 7<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title<\/strong>: Product and Application Development Officer Purpose for the Job<\/strong><\/p>\n To Analyze needs, designs, writes and tests new or existing programs and applications and to Apply judgment in devising program logic and selecting and adapting standard programming procedures, write programs and manuals.<\/p>\n i. Compile and write documentation of software development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so that others can understand the software. i. At least two (2) years\u2019 experience in Product & Application Development. \nDuty Station<\/strong>: Nairobi<\/p>\nDuties and responsibilities<\/h3>\n
\nii. Testing of developed applications.
\niii. Write, update and maintain computer software or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as storing and retrieving data, or controlling other equipment.
\niv. Maintenance of applications, repair or expansion of existing software to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
\nv. Write, analyze, review and rewrite software, using flowchart diagrams, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter and symbolic logic.
\nvi. Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
\nvii. Provide software support for computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running software solutions.
\nviii. Training end users.<\/p>\nMinimum Academic, Professional Qualifications and Experience<\/h3>\n
\nii. Bachelor\u2019s degree in software programming, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business IT or related form a recognized institution.
\niii.
