Undertake regular animal meat inspection;<br \/>\nii. Inspect establishment engaged in slaughtering livestock and processing meat;<br \/>\niii. Determines that ingredients used in processing and marketing meat and meat products comply with the standards of purity and grading and that products are not adulterated or misbranded;<br \/>\niv. Inspect processing areas to ensure sanitary conditions are maintained;<br \/>\nv. Issue certificate of transport for meat transportation;<br \/>\nvi. Provide livestock extension services;<br \/>\nvii. Participate in disease control, surveillance and reporting; and<br \/>\nviii. Supervision of livestock sale yards\/livestock markets.<\/p>\n<h4>b) Requirements for Appointment<\/h4>\n<p>i. Certificate in Animal Health from a recognized institution;<br \/>\nii. Must be registered with Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB);<br \/>\niii. Certificate in meat inspection from Meat Training Institute (MTI);<br \/>\niv. Certificate in Computer Application Skills; and<br \/>\nv. Certificate in Artificial Insemination will be an added advantage;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and pensionable<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration<\/strong>: As per SRC Circular<\/p>\n<h3>Assistant Animal Health Officer III (Artificial Inseminators) - CPSB 11 (15 Positions)<\/h3>\n<h4>a) Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<p>i. Carry out artificial insemination;<br \/>\nii. Advise dairy farmers on breeding practices and breeding technologies;<br \/>\niii. Perform breeding soundness examination on cows and selection;<br \/>\niv. Recording breeding services carried out in farms;<br \/>\nv. Carrying out training on farmers and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<h4>b) Requirements for Appointment<\/h4>\n<p>i. Diploma in Animal Health from a recognized institution;<br \/>\nii. Must be registered with Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB);<br \/>\niii. Certificate in Artificial Insemination from a recognized institution;<br \/>\niv. Certificate in Computer Application Skills;<br \/>\nv.
