Makueni County Public Service Board is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012 whose mandate includes appointing persons to hold or act in the offices of County Public Service.<\/p>\n

In order to strengthen the capacity of the Public Service, the Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions as per Section 59 of the County Governments' Act 2012.<\/p>\n

Assistant Inspector of Mines (1 Post)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSalary Scale<\/strong>: Ksh. 39,700 x 1,470 \u2013 41,170 x 1,520 \u2013 42,690 \u0445 1,710 \u2013 44,400 x 1,920 46,320 x 2,000 \u2013 48,320 x 2,290 \u2013 50,610 x 2,350 \u2013 52,960 p.m
\nTerms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

(i) Assigned work involving inspection of mines, quarries, explore, prospecting and mining concessions
\n(ii) Undertake simple mining engineering projects such as mine and rehabilitation;
\n(iii)Study and familiarize with licencing procedures.<\/p>\n

Requirements for Appointment<\/h3>\n

For appointment to this grade, an officer must: -<\/p>\n

(i) Must be a Kenyan citizen
\n(ii) Have a bachelor's degree in any of the following mining\/mineral processing engineers or civil engineering from a recognized university.<\/p>\n

Additional requirements<\/h4>\n

(i) Ability to handle technical issues effectively;
\n(ii) Ability to write, edit and compile comprehensive;
\n(iii) Skills to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues;
\n(iv) Quality of being honest and non-corrupt;
