We\u2019re currently looking for\u00a0Actuarial Graduates<\/strong>\u00a0to join our Actuarial practice in Nairobi. Our team consists of more than\u00a0120 actuarial professionals across 5 locations in Africa<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Johannesburg, Cape Town, Mauritius, Nairobi and Lagos.<\/p>\n

Our actuarial consulting team offers a great opportunity to\u00a0gain exposure across\u00a0various\u00a0technical actuarial areas and across a\u00a0range\u00a0of insurers<\/strong>\u00a0in the Kenyan and international market. Your key responsibilities<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Supporting on IFRS 17 and Solvency actuarial audits for life or non-life insurers<\/li>\n
  • Supporting the Head of Actuarial Function engagements for life or non-life insurers and reinsurers<\/li>\n
  • Supporting on engagements covering Transformation, Climate Change, ERM frameworks, ORSA, Risk Appetite or other emerging actuarial topics<\/li>\n
  • Involvement in our in-house actuarial tool development: IFRS17 and SAM reporting<\/li>\n
  • Continually learning and sharing your knowledge with the wider actuarial team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Most of your work will be\u00a0project based for a once-off set period time or on a recurring basis, which enables you to work with\u00a0different team members and subject matter experts, gaining invaluable experience and technical knowledge.<\/p>\n

    Skills and attributes for success<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • A BSc degree in Actuarial Science \/ Financial Mathematics<\/li>\n
    • Good progress with Actuarial exams from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or another recognised Actuarial Profession and a commitment to qualifying as an Actuary<\/li>\n
    • Team player and proactive, self-starter<\/li>\n
    • Curious mindset and keenness to learn<\/li>\n
    • Critical thinker and solution-orientated approach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
