The role will be responsible for planning, development, and implementation of hardware, software applications, programming &amp; systems network and integration of a management information system or enterprise network in coordination and consultation with the DRC Information Management Systems Coordinator.<\/p>\n<h3>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Install and configure computer hardware, authorized software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the Country IMS Coordinator regarding issues\/faults promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Offer technical support to all end users of hardware &amp; software issues.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that company data is safely backed up to OneDrive and SharePoint.<\/li>\n<li>Support conducting digital skills training for the youths at the DRC Eastleigh digital workspace and provide weekly reports on the training.<\/li>\n<li>Daily monitoring of servers to for optimal performance,100% uptime, and availability of systems.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain, improve, and ensure healthy back-ups of beneficiaries\u2019 databases.<\/li>\n<li>Generate monthly systems usage reports.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee software and network security.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake simple development tasks on the Information Management Systems as assigned from time to time.<\/li>\n<li>Continually perform preventative maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Experience and technical competencies:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1 Year Experience in fast paced organization.<\/li>\n<li>Have HTML, PHP-MVC, JS and CSS coding background.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of CodeIgniter framework will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of relationship database including MySQL.<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows 10 support.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and competence in Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail with an excellent analytic and research background.<\/li>\n<li>Cheerful, articulate, positive attitude and eager to learn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or Diploma \u00a0in Information Technology or other related field from a recognized institution<\/li>\n<li>Certification in computer networks (CCNA, N+, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Languages:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluency in English and Kiswahili.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DRC\u2019s Core competencies:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All DRC roles require the post-holder to master the below DRC\u2019s core competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Striving for excellence:<\/strong>\u00a0you focus on reaching results while ensuring an efficient process.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaborating:<\/strong>\u00a0you involve relevant parties and encourage feedback.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Taking the lead:<\/strong>\u00a0you take ownership and initiative while aiming for innovation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communicating:<\/strong>\u00a0You listen and speak effectively and honestly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Demonstrating integrity:\u00a0<\/strong>you Uphold and promote the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct in relation to DRC\u2019s values and Code of Conduct, including safeguarding against sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Conditions:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Contract duration<\/strong>: 6 months with possibility of a 3-month extension subject to funding availability and performance.
