{"id":816607,"date":"2025-07-02T22:12:44","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T19:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=816607"},"modified":"2025-10-30T05:19:53","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T02:19:53","slug":"816607-kemri-cphr-nutrition-internship","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/?post_type=job_listing&p=816607","title":{"rendered":"Nutrition Internship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a state corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013 as the national body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nutrition Interns - KEMRI CPHR<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The interns will be trained on Nutrition research methodologies, including study design, data collection techniques such as dietary assessments and anthropometry, and ethical considerations in human research.<\/li>\n<li>The interns will be trained on Data management and analysis, including data entry, cleaning, basic statistical analysis, interpretation and presentation of nutrition data, and use of digital field data collection tools.<\/li>\n<li>The interns will be trained on Community nutrition and public health programming, including planning and implementing nutrition interventions, delivering targeted nutrition education, and monitoring and evaluating nutrition programs<\/li>\n<li>The interns will be trained on Nutrition surveillance and policy, including understanding Kenya\u2019s key nutrition guidelines, using nutrition indicators for decision-making, and the role of surveillance systems in health and nutrition<\/li>\n<li>The interns will be trained on Organizing meetings, workshops, and field activities.<\/li>\n<li>The interns will be trained onAny other duties as assigned to support project operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Vacancy Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Bachelor of Science, Food Science and Nutrition or Foods and Nutrition or Nutrition &amp; Dietetics<\/li>\n<li>Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office applications).<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn and develop personal quarterly reports of knowledge and skills gained<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills \u2013 interpersonal, written, and verbal<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and flexibility are desirable attributes<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and organizational skills and detail-oriented<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":715154,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>To apply for this post you must be a registered user.
