The National Crime Research centre is a State Corporation established by the National Crime Research Act No. 4 of 1997. Its mandate is to carry out research into the causes of crime and its prevention and to disseminate research findings and recommendations to agencies concerned with the administration of criminal justice for purposes of policy planning and formulation.<\/p>\n
The Centre is seeking to recruit highly competent proactive and self-driven individuals to fill the following positions of:<\/p>\n
VACANCY\/POST NO. NCRC\/9\/8\/2025: <\/strong><\/p>\n Supply Chain Management Officer (NCRC6) One (1) Post.<\/strong><\/p>\n The appointment shall be Permanent and Pensionable. The officer at this level will report to the Principal Supply Chain Officer.<\/p>\n This is the entry and training grade for degree holders in this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in:<\/p>\n i. Implementing the annual procurement plan; For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n i. Bachelor\u2019s degree in any of the following: Procurement, Purchasing, Business Administration, Commerce or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; b) Skills and competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n (i) Interpersonal relationship skills; Documents to be submitted<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Interested applicants for this position must submit duly filled NCRC job application form, detailed CV, copies of academic certificates and other testimonials.<\/p>\r\n All applications should reach the Centre on or before 25th August, 2025 latest by 5.00 PM. \nii. Providing secretariat to committees\u2019 incidental to procurement of goods and services and disposal of assets;
\niii. Building capacity of the organization in procurement management;
\niv. Ensuring all goods and services purchased comply with the Centre\u2019s standards;
\nv. Reviewing and monitoring procurement budget expenditures against the procurement plan;
\nvi. Conducting analysis reports on performance for forecast and budgets;
\nvii. Providing technical support on matters relating to procurement processes and procedure;
\nviii. Reviewing tender notices;
\nix. Reviewing notification of award\/regrets and tender acceptance process;
\nx. Compiling and evaluating tenders;
\nxi. Formulating supplies, procurement and inventory manuals; and
\nxii. Safeguarding tenders, quotations and request for proposals.<\/p>\na) Person Specifications<\/h4>\n
\nii. Membership to professional body where applicable and in good standing;
\niii. Proficiency in computer applications; and
\niv. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.<\/p>\n
\n(ii) Analytical skills;
\n(iii) Report writing skills;
\n(iv) Communication skills; and
