The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is the National Revenue Collection Agency for the Government of Kenya. Our Vision is: \"An agile tax and customs revenue agency facilitating voluntary compliance for all.\"<\/p>\n

The Authority is seeking to recruit results-oriented, self-driven, dynamic, and experienced individuals with high integrity to fill the following positions:<\/p>\n

Officer - Data Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n

Terms of Service<\/strong>:\u00a0 Three (3) years, Fixed Term Contract<\/p>\n

The jobholder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Authority\u2019s strategies and policies for 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0party data management.<\/p>\n

Duties and responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Consolidate and integrate data from 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0party systems and combine into a single and coherent data set.<\/li>\n
  • Initiate data transformation by converting 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0party data into a format that is compatible with the internal system while applying necessary transformations like cleaning, enriching, and structuring.<\/li>\n
  • Manage data pipeline through building and maintaining pipelines that automate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0party data.<\/li>\n
  • Validate and clean data to assure quality by ensuring that the integrated data is accurate, consistent, and of high quality.<\/li>\n
  • Liaise and request data from 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0party's and integrate these data from multiple sources, ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.<\/li>\n
  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable and efficient data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and maintain data architectures that support business intelligence, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI)\/machine learning (ML) initiatives.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor and enhance performance of data systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal speed.<\/li>\n
  • Implement processes that are meant to verify data integrity and consistency throughout the pipeline.<\/li>\n
  • Work with other stakeholders, understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.<\/li>\n
  • Document data engineering processes, workflows, and technical specifications for reference and future updates.<\/li>\n
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Person specifications<\/h4>\n

    For appointment to this job, the candidate must have:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field<\/li>\n
    • Proficient in Computer Applications.<\/li>\n
    • One (1) year of relevant work experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Technical\/Functional competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.<\/li>\n

          1. Valid certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.<\/li>\r\n\t
          2. Valid clearance certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).<\/li>\r\n\t
          3. Valid tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).<\/li>\r\n\t
          4.
