As a member of the team, you will contribute to all fundraising, project due diligence and investment, portfolio management and risk mitigation workstreams.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span lang=\"en-us\">Primary Responsibilities<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Fundraising<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Preparation of group-level equity and debt capital raising materials and processes, including corporate and project finance models, presentations, investment memoranda, and due diligence Q&amp;A<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Strategic due diligence and investment<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Assessment of corporate and project investment opportunities, alignment with portfolio objectives, return requirements, and risk appetite<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Project development<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Analysis of economics and risks within project development, power purchase, procurement, and operations contracts, to support the Business Development team<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Portfolio management<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Maintenance of portfolio models and tracking of investment performance metrics<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Group and project structuring<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Portfolio and project-level tax, capital and corporate structuring, to deliver optimal economic outcomes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Inorganic growth<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Analysis and execution of project and corporate M&amp;A initiatives<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Investor management<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Preparation of investor updates and engagement materials<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span lang=\"en-us\">Risk mitigation<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-us\">: Identification and mitigation of investment risks<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span lang=\"en-us\">Required Skills and Experience<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">Previous tenure at any of the following (<b>Analyst<\/b>: 1-2 years,\u00a0<b>Associate<\/b>: 3-5 years):<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">An energy, infrastructure or project finance team of top-tier investment or commercial bank or Big 4 professional services firm<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">A specialist financial advisory firm or investor focused on energy \/ infrastructure<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">The investment team at a successful energy developer<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">Demonstrated experience in corporate\/project finance, financial modelling, due diligence, investment analysis, fundraising, and\/or transaction execution<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">Experience in or understanding of African markets, particularly in the energy sector<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">Excellent analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and strong presentation skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">Demonstrated ability to project manage multiple, complex workstreams and interact with broad stakeholder groups<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span lang=\"en-us\">Who You Are<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are a self-starter passionate about creating lasting change within the energy sector in emerging markets<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are a critical thinker, intellectually stimulated by energy, power, geopolitics, economics, and the environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are a patient puzzle-solver who perseveres through complexity to find practical solutions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are a skilled communicator and relationship builder across jurisdictions and cultures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are solution-oriented and able to operate in situations where information is scarce, and the environment is constantly changing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are ethical and principled, with a strong grasp of international standards for investor relations and compliance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are systematic and highly organized, with personal accountability for managing multiple workstreams<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You thrive in dynamic environments and are excited to contribute to impactful projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">You are eager to learn and grow in the energy transition investment space<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u><span lang=\"en-us\">Location \/ Travel<\/span><\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en-us\">Our preferred locations are Nairobi, Kenya, and London, United Kingdom.
