An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a more senior and experienced officer.<\/p>\n<p>Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cleaning and sterilizing laboratory glass ware, surfaces and equipment;<\/li>\n<li>preparing media, stains and dyes;<\/li>\n<li>collecting, receiving, recording packaging, dispatching, analyzing and<\/li>\n<li>preserving test samples and disposing laboratory waste.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>b) Requirements for Appointment<\/h4>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Certificate in any of the following fields; Laboratory Science, Laboratory Technology or medical laboratory technology from a recognised institution, OR<br \/>\nOccupational\/Proficiency Test Certificate Grade III\/II\/I in Civil Engineering for Geological Laboratories from a recognised institution; and<\/li>\n<li>Certificate in Computer applications skills from a recognised institution.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":674008,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Interested and qualified candidates are required to make their applications by completing ONE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publicservice.go.ke\/download\/application-for-employment-form-psc-2-revised-2016\/?ind=5434&amp;filename=PSC2_FORM_-_REV._2016.pdf&amp;wpdmdl=5433\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application form PSC 2 form (Revised 2016)<\/a>.
