Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n

Reporting to the Presiding Officer, the\u00a0POLLING\/COUNTING CLERK\u00a0will carry out the following duties;<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Assist in laying out of the polling station and counting room.<\/li>\n
  2. Demarcate and display posters at the polling station.<\/li>\n
  3. Control queues and guide voters to respective polling station.<\/li>\n
  4. Confirm that a voter has not voted by inspecting their fingers for indelible marks.<\/li>\n
  5. Identify voters before allowing them to vote.<\/li>\n
  6. Issue stamped ballot papers to voters duly identified in the register of voters.<\/li>\n
  7. Assist the Presiding Officer with the sorting of votes after voting as part of counting<\/li>\n
  8. Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the Presiding officer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Requirements for Appointment<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. \n
        \n
      1. Kenyan citizen of high integrity, and be non-partisan;<\/li>\n
      2. KCSE Aggregate C- and above;<\/li>\n
      3. Must be of good character and;<\/li>\n
      4. Must be available for the entire period of the exercise; and<\/li>\n
      5. Resident of the Constituency\/County Assembly Ward in which they apply for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Wages<\/strong><\/p>\n
