{"id":834202,"date":"2025-10-28T19:21:30","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T16:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=834202"},"modified":"2026-03-18T20:12:46","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T17:12:46","slug":"834202-pioneer-insurance-kenya-graduate-trainee-application-systems","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/?post_type=job_listing&p=834202","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Trainee (Application Systems)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Main Purpose of the Job<\/h4>\n<p>Pioneer Insurance Holdings Limited seeks to recruit a Graduate Trainee (Application Systems) to form a critical pillar in the execution of the department's responsibilities and Digital Transformation<\/p>\n<h4>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in software development, maintenance and support for applications implemented in Java, Oracle Database.<\/li>\n<li>Perform systems integration through webservices.<\/li>\n<li>Design and develop system reports.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues on the existing applications as reported by the users.<\/li>\n<li>Create or update technical system documentation including design documents, user manual and installation instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with other developers and support specialist within the department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILL REQUIREMENTS<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, and a recent Graduate from 2024 to 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Intermediate understanding of java programming language.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of springboot java framework will be added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working on restful webservices will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Android programming will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of SQL commands. Experience with oracle database will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Sound understanding of data structures, database theory and database administration.<\/li>\n<li>Possess strong understanding of software engineering principals including data normalization and software development life cycles<\/li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in Unix based operating systems<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in Insurance is an added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":834205,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>If you have the above credentials, kindly send your application.<\/p>\r\n<p>Pioneer is an equal opportunity employer.
