The Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) is a State Corporation established under the Science Technology and Innovation (ST&I) Act, No 28 of 2013. The mandate to develop and manage the National Innovation System.<\/p>\n

The Agency invites applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following vacant position:<\/p>\n

INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER II, KENIA 8 \u2013 J (Post 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Post Duration<\/strong>: Parmanent<\/p>\n

This is an entry level grade for degree holder into this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.<\/p>\n

(a) Job Specifications<\/h4>\n

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Analysing, designing, testing and implementing ICT applications;<\/li>\n
  2. Providing advanced user support;<\/li>\n
  3. Maintaining and support ICT systems;<\/li>\n
  4. Training end users in ICT systems;<\/li>\n
  5. Repairing and maintaining ICT equipment;<\/li>\n
  6. Receiving, installing, certifying and configuring ICT equipment;<\/li>\n
  7. Maintaining and updating Website and portals;<\/li>\n
  8. Configuring and maintaining local area networks and wide area networks;<\/li>\n
  9. Updating and maintaining ICT equipment inventory;<\/li>\n
  10. Preparing ICT technical specifications and user manual and documentations; and<\/li>\n
  11. Escalating any faults for further action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    (b) Person Specifications<\/h4>\n

    For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Informatics and Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Security and Forensics, Business Information Technology, Electrical\/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.<\/li>\n
    2.
