FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS OFFICER II | SHA\/227\/2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Term: <\/strong>Permanent and Pensionable<\/p>\n

Position Level: <\/strong>SHA 8<\/p>\n

Number of positions<\/strong>: 2<\/p>\n

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Bachelor\u2019s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce (Finance option), Economics, Business Administration (Finance option), Business Management (Finance option) Finance its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;<\/li>\n
  2. Certified Public Accountant II (CPA II) by Kenya Accounts and Secretaries Examination Board (KASNEB) or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and<\/li>\n
  3. Proficiency in computer application skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n

    You will be responsible for implementing financial policies, maintaining books of accounts, monitoring revenue and expenditure, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.<\/p>\n

    Duties and responsibilities entail performing and assisting in the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Implementing financial regulations, policies, strategies and plans;<\/li>\n
    • Implementing Budgetary and cost control;<\/li>\n
    • Maintaining books of accounts and financial records;<\/li>\n
    • Implementing internal financial controls;<\/li>\n
    • Preparing regulatory and statutory financial reports and statements;<\/li>\n
    • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records of the Authority;<\/li>\n
    • Preparing payment vouchers;<\/li>\n
    • Participating in the collating of financial estimates and determination of aggregate expenditure;<\/li>\n
    • Managing the petty cash; and<\/li>\n

      1. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.<\/li>\r\n\t
      2. Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority.<\/li>\r\n\t
      3. Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).<\/li>\r\n\t
      4. Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).<\/li>\r\n\t
      5. Report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
