Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:<\/h4>\n

For appointment to the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer II (SHA Grade 8), a candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications for the entry grade for degree holders:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.<\/li>\n
  2. Proficiency in computer application skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n

    The Supply Chain Management Officer II is the entry and training grade<\/strong> for this cadre. The officer works under the guidance of a senior officer to execute essential supply chain functions, ensuring sound procurement and supply chain management practices are implemented in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA), 2015, and related regulations. This grade forms a common establishment<\/strong> with the Supply Chain Management Officer I (SHA Grade 7) for career progression purposes.<\/p>\n

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Preparing estimates of expenditure on supplies and services.<\/li>\n
    • Preparing procurement plans, inventory control, and provisioning for the Authority.<\/li>\n
    • Implementing the procurement manual.<\/li>\n
    • Reviewing, updating, interpreting, and implementing existing supplies regulations, procedures, and systems.<\/li>\n
    • Developing department Guidelines and procedures.<\/li>\n
    • Sourcing for suppliers; Implementing procurement policies for SHA.<\/li>\n
    • Validating disposal of unserviceable stores.<\/li>\n

      1. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.<\/li>\r\n\t
      2. Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority.<\/li>\r\n\t
      3. Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).<\/li>\r\n\t
      4. Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).<\/li>\r\n\t
      5. Report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
