DRIVER III | SHA\/243\/2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Term<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable<\/p>\n

Position Level: <\/strong>SHA 11<\/p>\n

Number of positions<\/strong>: 1<\/p>\n

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade D plain or its equivalent qualification;<\/li>\n
  2. Valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for the class(es) of vehicle(s);<\/li>\n
  3. Passed Suitability Test for Drivers;<\/li>\n
  4. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct;<\/li>\n
  5. First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution; and<\/li>\n
  6. At least two (2) years of proven driving experience; and<\/li>\n
  7. Proficiency in Computer Application.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n

    Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Driving vehicle(s) as authorized;<\/li>\n
    • Carrying out periodic checks on the assigned vehicle to determine maintenance needs and reporting accordingly and on time;<\/li>\n
    • Keeping up-to-date vehicle mileage log and maintaining work tickets for vehicles assigned;<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road;<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring the safety of the passengers and\/or goods therein;<\/li>\n
    • Inspecting assigned vehicles and keeping up-to-date insurance documents;<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring the assigned vehicle(s) has the necessary tools (toolbox, spotlight, umbrella, fire extinguisher, and an equipped first aid kit);<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring that the vehicle is taken for service when due;<\/li>\n
    • Adhering to the Traffic Act, and the Authority\u2019s policies and procedures on fleet management;<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring that the assigned vehicle(s) is always fuelled in line with the policies and procedures on fleet management;<\/li>\n
    • Reporting any incident that involves injury, or damage to any passenger, pedestrian or third-party property immediately, in line with established policies and procedures; and<\/li>\n

      1. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.<\/li>\r\n\t
      2. Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority.<\/li>\r\n\t
      3. Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).<\/li>\r\n\t
      4. Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).<\/li>\r\n\t
      5. Report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
