JOB SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n

The junior designer will assist the lead designer in defining client(s) order requirements, creating furniture drawings and providing quality control support.<\/p>\n

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Study design briefs and determine requirements in liaison with the design and sales teams.<\/li>\n
  • Generate sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD) and hand sketches where needed.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare furniture production drawings using Archicad or Sketchup.<\/li>\n
  • Use appropriate colours and layouts for each drawing to match the product description.<\/li>\n
  • Amend drawings or designs after client(s) feedback.<\/li>\n
  • Provide support to the production team in ensuring designs are implemented as per the drawings provided.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in quality control inspection of items in production from start to finish.<\/li>\n
  • Study and maintain product knowledge from the company catalogue and emerging design trends.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in showroom product arrangement and ensure items are always stocked.<\/li>\n
  • Manage the upholstery department and schedule upholstery works as needed.<\/li>\n
  • Any other duty as assigned by the lead designer or management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Minimum 1 year experience working in a wood-working setup, furniture workshop or timber manufacturing workshop<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) \u2013 knowledge in Archicad modelling would be an added advantage<\/li>\n
    • Strong drawing skills, attention to detail, and visual awareness<\/li>\n
