About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Finance intern to support the financial and operational management of donor-funded projects. You\u2019ll work closely with project teams to ensure smooth budgeting, accounting, compliance, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone passionate about finance, project coordination, and development work.<\/p>\n

Key responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers in QuickBooks.<\/li>\n
  • Support preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and expenditure reports.<\/li>\n
  • Track expenditures against approved budgets and ensure donor compliance.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in preparing financial proposals, reports and documentation for audits and donor submissions.<\/li>\n
  • Track project expenditures and ensure donor and budget compliance.<\/li>\n
  • Handle statutory filings (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, VAT, Withholding Tax).<\/li>\n
  • Support project teams in financial monitoring and activity tracking using CRMs and tools.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in audits, documentation, and project close-out processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What We\u2019re Looking For<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Project Management.<\/li>\n
    • 1\u20132 years\u2019 experience in project finance or donor-funded programs.<\/li>\n
    • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Excel.<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of tax and statutory compliance requirements.<\/li>\n
