It is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Finance Intern role supports the day-to-day operations of the finance department through hands-on involvement in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and general accounting activities. The position preparations, and participating in ongoing process improvement initiatives. The role also provides exposure to financial systems, cross-functional collaboration, and a wide range of finance tasks within a dynamic organizational environment.<\/p>\n<h4>Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<p><strong>a) Financial Analysis and Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Support financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and anomalies.<\/li>\n<li>Help in the preparation of financial statements and presentations for internal stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>b) Budgeting and Forecasting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and analyzing data.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation and review of budgets for various departments and projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>c) General Accounting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliation, and record keeping.<\/li>\n<li>Help with the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.<\/li>\n<li>Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>d) Accounts Payable and Receivable<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable functions.<\/li>\n<li>Help with the reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Support the follow-up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>e) Tax and Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Support the finance team in ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>f) Audit Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.<\/li>\n<li>Support the implementation of audit recommendations and improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>g) Process Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements within the finance department.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development and documentation of finance and accounting procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>h) Ad Hoc Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support various ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by the finance manager or CFO.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in research and analysis for special projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of finance principles and accounting concepts.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Organizational and time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity and professionalism.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to adapt to new challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Relevant Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 0-1 years of experience in finance or accounting
