{"id":844964,"date":"2025-12-24T13:33:43","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T10:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=844964"},"modified":"2025-12-24T13:34:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T10:34:07","slug":"844964-eldowas-communication-public-relations-internship-eldoret","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/vacancy\/844964-eldowas-communication-public-relations-internship-eldoret\/","title":{"rendered":"Communication &amp; Public Relations Internship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Limited, a Water and Sewerage Service Provider, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions:<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>REF:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>ELDOWAS\/HR\/2025\/CPRI\/05\u2013 1 post<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting to:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>CORPORATE COMMUNICATION OFFICER<\/p>\n<p><strong>Department: \u00a0<\/strong>ADMINISTRATION<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration:\u00a0<\/strong>12 months<\/p>\n<p>ELDOWAS seeks to recruit an individual who is passionate about environmental communication, public awareness, and community engagement with hands-on experience promoting vital messages about clean water, sustainability, and public service.<\/p>\n<h4>Duties and responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in creating educational and engaging content about water conservation, safety, and sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Draft press releases, community updates, and internal communications<\/li>\n<li>Support social media management, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics<\/li>\n<li>Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and emerging environmental news<\/li>\n<li>Help coordinate community outreach programs, school visits, and public events<\/li>\n<li>Maintain media contact lists and assist with outreach to local stakeholders, partners, and journalists<\/li>\n<li>Ensure consistent communication aligned with our mission to provide safe, reliable water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Minimum requirements<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be unemployed Kenyan graduates from recognized training institutions who have completed their degree courses within the last three years and have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study; must not have retired or exited from formal employment; and must not have benefited from a similar programme.<\/li>\n<li>Must be currently enrolled in a\u00a0<strong>Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/strong>\u00a0in one of the following (or related) fields: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Public Administration.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, writing, and editing skills<\/li>\n<li>Interest in environmental issues, public utilities, water management, or sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Creative thinker with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, engaging way<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X\/Twitter, TikTok)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>What we Offer<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hands-on experience in public relations and environmental communications<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to water industry operations and public utility communication strategies<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities to build your writing, media, and outreach portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Mentorship from experienced communication professionals<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative, mission-driven work environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":788242,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Candidates Interested in this position are expected to meet the qualification and experience requirements as detailed.
