Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus Other Requirements\/Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n i. Background training in Competency-Based Education Training(CBET) Department:<\/strong> Library Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n i. Respond to library section queries Department<\/strong>: Computing and Informatics Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n i. \nii. Prepare teaching\/learning materials and schemes of work
\niii. Develop Technical teaching and Training Materials.
\niv. Setting and marking examinations\/assignments
\nv. Supervision of trainees on attachment
\nvi. Instructing, guiding and evaluating trainees in practical exercises
\nvii. Reporting progress and overall performance of individual trainees
\nviii. Participating in development of curriculum and training programmes
\nix. Undertaking\/ carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer<\/p>\n
\nii. Pedagogy in Education, training, Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) Registration, Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable will be an added advantage<\/p>\nAssistant Librarian:<\/h3>\n
\nQualification:\u00a0<\/strong>Diploma in Library Studies, Information Science or its equivalent qualifications from recognized institution. Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.<\/p>\n
\nii. Charging and discharging of library materials
\niii. Reservation of information materials
\niv. Maintaining library statistical records and Microfilming services
\nv. Observing of library rules, regulations and procedures
\nvi. Issuing reminders to overdue library materials
\nvii. Selecting information materials for acquisition
\nviii. Shelving and re-shelving of library collection<\/p>\nICT Technician:<\/h3>\n
\nQualification:\u00a0<\/strong>Diploma in any of the following disciplines; Information Technology\/Business Information Technology\/Information Communication Technology\/Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution<\/p>\n
\nii. Maintaining data protection system
\niii. Installing and supporting servers
\niv. Installing and deployment of relevant hardware and software
\nv. Providing user support
\nvi. Performing technical, systems and user documentation<\/p>\nTechnician Applied Science:<\/h3>\n
\nQualification:\u00a0<\/strong>Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Biology. Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.<\/p>\n
\nii. Maintaining order and cleanliness in the workshops\/laboratories.
\niii. Taking care of equipment, machines & tools under their custody.
\niv. Keeping records of issuance of equipment, materials, machines and tools.
\nv. Ensure proper installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, machines and tools in the workshop\/Laboratories.
\nvi. Keeping the inventory of equipment, machines tools and materials in the workshop\/Laboratory
\nvii. Ensuring safety in the workshop\/laboratories at all times.
\nviii. Preparation of work instruction sheets for equipment in the workshop\/Laboratory.
\nix. Preparing individual work plan<\/p>\nCook:<\/h3>\n
\nQualification:\u00a0<\/strong>Craft Certificate in Food and Beverage or its equivalent from a recognized Institution, Valid Certificate of Health for Food Handlers. Skills in Food Presentation, kitchen management, customer service and cooking techniques.<\/p>\n
\nii. Cooking.
\niii. Identifying and reporting defects or problems concerning kitchen equipment, food supplies and other conditions.
\niv. Preparation and cooking of a variety of food for meal service following standard practice and procedures.
\nv. Reviewing of menus and assembling food supplies and equipment for daily food preparation.
