Its primary mandate is to implement Government Housing Policies and Programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The Corporation is seeking to recruit results-driven and highly motivated individuals to fill the following positions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estates Officer II\/I (Property Management) NHC Grade 8\/7<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Duties and responsibilities<\/h4>\n<p>Duties and responsibilities at this level entail: -<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Implementing Estates management policies, strategies, procedure and standards\/guidelines in line with the Corporation\u2019s key corporate objectives;<\/li>\n<li>In liaison with head of legal services, preparing necessary lease and conveyancing documents and agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating and administering lease and tenant purchase agreements as per the Corporation\u2019s policies and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Collecting rent and tenant purchase loan repayments.<\/li>\n<li>Assessing rent levels for approval and carrying out rent reviews of all Corporation property.<\/li>\n<li>Attending to tenants\u2019 problems, welfare and disputes;<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking pre-occupancy education of tenants\/purchasers of NHC Estates.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking repairs and maintenance of Corporation property;<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out inspections, preparing and implementing maintenance schedules;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing, collecting and accounting for service charge;<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking service charge administration<\/li>\n<li>Administering Service Contract for common services such as security, cleaning and garbage collection, among others.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating the prompt payment of statutory payments (land rates, land rents) and utility bills (water and electricity).<\/li>\n<li>Supporting Corporation Estates management related litigation processes.<\/li>\n<li>Letting and selling new and old Estates (both residential and commercial).<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out feasibility studies, property market survey\/studies and\/or supervise valuation\/feasibility studies\/exercises.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with relevant Directorate in preparing \u201ccost-in-use\u201d reports annually to determine use of materials in construction works.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with relevant Directorate in undertaking user requirement surveys in relation to accommodation, type, material use, ease of maintenance and life cycle costs and forward findings to the design team.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out periodic rental assessments\/surveys, open market valuations for book and insurance purposes, sales etc.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the process of title acquisition of property ownership documents.<\/li>\n<li>Advising on appropriateness and pricing for land to be acquired for projects.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing rental yield annually.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the preparation and updating the Corporation\u2019s asset register.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health safety regulations and guidelines;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Person Specification:<\/h4>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, a person must have: -<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Land economics, Real Estate Management, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in computer applications;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Skills and Competencies:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Leadership and managerial skills<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Communication and reporting skills<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ethical skills<\/li>\n<li>Team Management<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The positions are on Permanent &amp; Pensionable terms, and the successful candidates will be subject to performance contract.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":720407,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Interested and qualified persons are requested to submit their applications by sending:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>A signed application letter<\/li>\r\n\t<li>A detailed Curriculum Vitae(CV) stating current position, salary and benefits<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Copies of academic and professional certificates and testimonials and<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Contact information for three (3) professional references.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>on or before 9th January 2026 at 5.00 P.M, East Africa Time (EAT).<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Applications should be addressed to:<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>The Managing Director\/CEO<\/strong><br \/>\r\n<strong>National Housing Corporation (NHC)<\/strong><br \/>\r\n<strong>P.O.
