The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Roads & Transport established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007 and charged with the mandate to develop, manage, maintain and rehabilitate rural roads.<\/p>\n

Pursuant to the provisions of the Act the Board of Directors invite applications from suitably qualified Kenyan Citizens who wish to be considered for the positions at Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA). The positions are as listed below are (Grade 4-12) on permanent and pensionable terms of service.<\/p>\n

Terms and conditions of service for the advertised positions shall apply as per the approved Human Resource Instruments of the Authority.<\/p>\n

LAND SURVEYOR II, KERRA GRADE 8 (11 VACANCIES)<\/strong><\/p>\n

(a) Job Specifications<\/h4>\n

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre for Bachelor's Degree holders. An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a senior officer.<\/p>\n

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: -<\/p>\n

(i) Carrying out cadastral, geodetic and mapping surveys;
\n(ii) Carrying out topographical surveys;
\n(iii) Undertaking preliminary quality control of cadastral, adjudication and general boundary surveys;
\n(iv) Undertaking computations and adjustments of triangulation and traversing methods;
\n(v) Extension of control points for surveying and mapping;
\n(vi) Preparation of budgets for survey tasks;
\n(vii) Supervision of survey function in road construction projects;
\n(viii) Carrying out measurement and computations of quantities for road works; and
\n(ix) Preparation of Land acquisition drawings and schedules.<\/p>\n

(b) Job specifications<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n

(i) Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Surveying, Geospatial Engineering, Geomatic Engineering, Geomatic Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems, Technology in Survey or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and

  4. Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration\/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission\u00a0(EACC);<\/strong>\u00a0and<\/li>\r\n\t
  5. Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau\u00a0(CRB).<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
