Public Service Commission<\/strong> is seeking a sharp and meticulous Internal Auditor<\/strong>to join their team at an exciting Entry-level<\/strong> stage in your career. This vital role demands candidates who possess both a recognized Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, or IT, coupled with crucial certifications such as CPA(K), CIA, or ACCA, positioning you to execute comprehensive internal audits and investigations. You will play a direct part in structuring annual audit plans, meticulously documenting findings grounded in rigorous data analysis, and ensuring robust control deficiencies are clearly communicated, contributing significantly to organizational integrity and oversight within the Kenyan public sector.<\/p>\n

INTERNAL AUDITOR II \u2013 THREE (3) POSTS- V\/NO. 194\/2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gross Salary Scale<\/strong>: Ksh 102,611 \u2013 177,467 p.m. (PSC 9)
\nLeave Allowance<\/strong>: Ksh. 35,000 per financial year
\nAnnual Leave<\/strong>: 30 working days per financial year
\nMedical Cover<\/strong>: As provided by the PSC medical cover
\nTerms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable.<\/p>\n

Requirements for Appointment:<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n

(i) a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; and
\n(ii) certification in certified Public Accountant [CPA(K)], Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> \u00a0possession of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certificate will be considered as an added advantage.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n

(i) preparing annual audit plan for review and approval by the Head of the Internal Audit Department;
\n(ii) preparing engagement plans for review and approval by the Head of the Internal Audit Department;
\n(iii) carrying out audits and investigations as assigned by the supervisor;
\n(iv) documenting clear, comprehensive, and objective working papers that support audit findings and conclusions;
\n(v) collecting and analyzing data to support audit findings
\n(vi) communicating control deficiencies, audit observations, potential risks and recommendations to the supervising auditor in a timely manner;
\n(vii) assisting in monitoring and tracking the implementation of management actions and recommendations from previous audits;
\n(viii) recording proceedings of the entry and Exit meetings with Audit clients; and
