DRIVER II \u2013 THREE (3) POSTS- V\/NO. 202\/2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gross Salary Scale<\/strong>: 53, 660- 97,801 p.m. (PSC 12)
\nLeave Allowance<\/strong>: Ksh. 30,000 per financial year
\nAnnual Leave<\/strong>: 30 working days per financial year
\nMedical Cover<\/strong>: As provided by the PSC medical cover
\nTerms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable.<\/p>\n

Requirements for Appointment:<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n

(i) a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
\n(ii) at least two (2) years driving experience;
\n(iii) a valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) of vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive;
\n(iv) a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution;
\n(v) a suitability Test for Drivers conducted by the Ministry responsible for transport; and
\n(vi) a valid Clearance Certificate from the National Police Service.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n

(i) driving the vehicle as authorized;
\n(ii) ensuring security and safety of the vehicle, passengers and goods on and off the road;
\n(iii) maintaining daily work ticket;
\n(iv) ensuring routine service and maintenance of the vehicle;
\n(v) carrying out routine checks on vehicle\u2019s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems and tyre pressure;
\n(vi) detecting and reporting vehicle defects on time;
\n(vii) ensuring vehicle cleanliness;
\n(viii) timely reporting of accidents and follow up on police abstract; and
