{"id":849091,"date":"2026-01-05T00:22:03","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T21:22:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=849091"},"modified":"2026-01-05T00:22:25","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T21:22:25","slug":"849091-kisumu-cpsb-early-childhood-development-education-teacher-ii","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/vacancy\/849091-kisumu-cpsb-early-childhood-development-education-teacher-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Early Childhood Development Education Teacher II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kisumu County Public Service Board invites applications from suitably qualified, motivated, and proactive individuals to fill vacancies in the <strong>Department of Education, Technical Training &amp; Innovation and Social Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION TEACHER II<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Job Group:<\/strong> H<br \/>\n<strong>Number of Positions:<\/strong> 100<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terms of Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Permanent and Pensionable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary and Allowances<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Basic Salary Scale:<\/strong> Ksh 27,900 \u2013 36,680<\/li>\n<li><strong>House Allowance:<\/strong> As applicable<\/li>\n<li><strong>Commuter Allowance:<\/strong> Ksh 4,000<\/li>\n<li><strong>Leave Allowance:<\/strong> As provided in the Civil Service<\/li>\n<li><strong>Annual Leave:<\/strong> 30 working days<\/li>\n<li><strong>Medical Cover:<\/strong> As provided by the County Government of Kisumu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>(a) Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Develop and implement learning activities that promote cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development of children aged 3\u20136 years.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor learners\u2019 progress.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate play-based learning and creative arts into daily lessons.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a conducive learning environment through proper classroom arrangement and resource management.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.<\/li>\n<li>Manage classroom behavior and establish positive discipline practices.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children under care.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and report signs of abuse, neglect, or developmental challenges.<\/li>\n<li>Provide basic first aid and maintain incident records.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and progress.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit regular child development reports to management and parents.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate regularly with parents or guardians.<\/li>\n<li>Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.<\/li>\n<li>Engage with the local community to promote early childhood education.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in community programs that enhance children\u2019s learning experience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>(b) Requirements for Appointment<\/h4>\n<p>Applicants must:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be a Kenyan citizen.<\/li>\n<li>Have KCSE mean grade D (Plain) or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education.<\/li>\n<li>Have basic training in Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC\/CBE).<\/li>\n<li>Be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).<\/li>\n<li>Be proficient in computer applications.<\/li>\n<li>Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya (2010).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> An upgraded Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (UDETCE) and Special Needs Education will be an added advantage.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":610697,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Applicants should:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Download and complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/cpsb.kisumu.go.ke\/index.php\/download\/application-for-employment-form\/?wpdmdl=76\">application form<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpsb.kisumu.go.ke\/\">cpsb.kisumu.go.ke<\/a><\/li>\r\n\t<li>Submit the completed form together with copies of academic and professional certificates <strong>in PDF format as one continuous document<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\t<li>Quote the <strong>Job Title<\/strong> in the email subject line<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Deadline: <strong>3rd February 2026 at 5.00 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Hard copy applications may also be submitted at the <strong>Kisumu County Public Service Board Offices, Okore Road, Milimani<\/strong>, during working hours.<\/p>\r\n<p>Applicants with foreign qualifications must have them authenticated by the <strong>Commission for Higher Education (CHE)<\/strong>.
