Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) is a Public Media Training Institution in Kenya established in 1961. It is currently a State Corporation established through Legal Notice No.197 of 2011 (amended 2012). The Institute offers training at Post Graduate, Diploma and Certificate levels in Communication and Cinematic Arts.<\/p>\n

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT III, KIMC GRADE 9 (PERMANENT & PENSIONABLE) (1 POST) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the entry grade for the Supply Chain Management Assistant cadre.<\/p>\n

Duties and responsibilities will entail:<\/p>\n

(i) Ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement, Asset and Disposal Act and Regulations;
\n(ii) Facilitating inspection and acceptance of goods and services;
\n(iii) Receipts of good and services;
\n(iv) Processing of delivery notes and invoices;
\n(v) Managing and undertaking stock taking and re-order levels;
\n(vi) Ensuring that the stores are clean at all times;
\n(vii) Updating bin card records;
\n(viii) Labelling the store wares; and
\n(ix) Preparing and maintaining of store records.<\/p>\n

Person Specifications<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must be in possession of: -<\/p>\n

(i) Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Procurement, Procurement and Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
\n(ii) A valid practicing License from Kenya Institute of Supply Management;
\n(iii) Certificate in computer application skills.<\/p>\n

Terms of Service<\/strong>
\nThe successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.
