Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC)<\/strong> is seeking a diligent Driver III<\/strong> for a Permanent and Pensionable role based in Nairobi, offering an exciting entry-level opportunity within a respected State Corporation.<\/p>\n

Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) is a Public Media Training Institution in Kenya established in 1961. It is currently a State Corporation established through Legal Notice No.197 of 2011 (amended 2012). The Institute offers training at Post Graduate, Diploma and Certificate levels in Communication and Cinematic Arts.<\/p>\n

DRIVER III, KIMC GRADE 12 (PERMANENT & PENSIONABLE) (1 POST) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -<\/p>\n

(i) Driving vehicles as authorized;
\n(ii) Keeping up to date work tickets for vehicles assigned to;
\n(iii) Cleaning of the assigned motor vehicle;
\n(iv) Preparing and submitting regular reports on motor vehicle assigned;
\n(v) Maintaining a proper mechanical working condition of the vehicle;
\n(vi) Ensuring security and safety of passengers and vehicle on and off the road;
\n(vii) Adhering to or observing of traffic laws;
\n(vii) Reporting any incidents to police and\/or the office immediately they occur; and
\n(viii) Detect common mechanical faults.<\/p>\n

Person Specifications<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -<\/p>\n

(i) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade of D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:
\n(ii) Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive;
\n(iii) First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution;
\n(iv) Certificate in Defensive Driving from Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
\n(v) Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III;
\n(vi) Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
\n(vii) Two years driving experience; and
\n(viii) Proficiency in computer applications<\/p>\n

Terms of Service<\/strong>
\nThe successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The Minimum basic salary for this position will range from Kshs.
