He\/she will support the Risk and Compliance Manager in implementing and monitoring risk management and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and understanding of regulatory requirements will be crucial to ensure the institution's adherence to applicable laws and regulations.<\/p>\n<h4>Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<p><b>1. Risk Support &amp; Forecasting (50%)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>A<\/b>ssist in identifying business weaknesses and economic trends that could hurt the company.<\/li>\n<li><b>Risk Register Management:<\/b>\u00a0Tracking daily risk events, updating scores, and ensuring no lapse in control goes unnoticed.<\/li>\n<li><b>Forecasting<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>2. Compliance &amp; \"Rules\" Monitoring (30%)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>System Maintenance:<\/b>\u00a0Keeping the compliance software\/databases clean and updated.<\/li>\n<li>Learning and monitoring local laws and international standards to ensure the MFI doesn't get fined or penalized.<\/li>\n<li><b>Reporting:<\/b>\u00a0Drafting the first versions of periodic reports for management and regulators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>3. Audit &amp; Process Improvement (10%)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>The Follow-Up:<\/b>\u00a0Creating checklists to make sure other departments actually fixed the issues the auditors found.<\/li>\n<li><b>Policy Review:<\/b>\u00a0Reading through company policies to spot \"loopholes\" where things could go wrong.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>4. Training &amp; Documentation (10%)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Knowledge Sharing:<\/b>\u00a0Helping organize training sessions to teach other staff how to stay compliant.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring every policy, procedure, and control document is current, organized, and easy to find.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Required Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications Education,<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree\/Diploma in finance, business administration, risk management, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of risk management principles, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills, with the ability to\u00a0identify\u00a0and assess risks, conduct root-cause analysis, and propose solutions.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Proficient in using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Professional certifications in risk management or compliance (e.g., CRCM, CRM, CFE) are desirable but not mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>Previous\u00a0experience in risk management, compliance, or a similar role, preferably in the financial services industry or microfinance sector and Familiarity with microfinance industry regulations and best practices is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The care and protection of children and vulnerable adults is our top priority.
