It was registered as an Association in 1946 with a core mandate of advancing the critical role of the Church in healthcare, health education and healing. In 2023, the CHAK Business Services Limited (CBSL), a social enterprise founded to drive business solutions to deliver value and generate resources for the communities\u2019 wellbeing was established. The CBSL focuses on diversifying revenue streams for CHAK and contributing to sustainable development across various sectors.<\/p>\n<p>CHAK\u2019s\u00a0vision is\u00a0<em>Quality Healthcare for all to the Glory of God<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CHAK is seeking to hire an experienced Health Informatics (Data Management) Officer to strengthen data management systems and drive the automation of data processes. The role will be responsible for configuring and customizing the organization\u2019s digital health reporting system, automating data exchange and quality assurance processes, and developing customized performance dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. The officer will be based in Meru under the Jamii Tekelezi project<\/p>\n<h4>Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing\u00a0digital\u00a0data collection tools, performing data cleaning, providing training and support for data entry, querying reports and\u00a0generating\u00a0performance dashboards<\/li>\n<li>Configure and customize digital platforms, including DHIS2, Kobo Collect, and other mobile applications, to meet\u00a0CHAK\u00a0data requirements, enhance functionality, and support efficient data flow across systems<\/li>\n<li>Automate data retrieval processes and integrate data systems with data visualization platforms to improve efficiency and provide real-time access to performance insights<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate seamless data exchange and system interoperability by integrating project information systems with other digital health platforms and electronic medical records (EMRs)<\/li>\n<li>Support capacity-building initiatives through training of end users and various projects on DHIS2 functionalities, data retrieval, interpretation, and use.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate\u00a0with Monitoring and\u00a0Evaluation,\u00a0ICT\u00a0and\u00a0other\u00a0program teams to strengthen data management practices and align data systems with\u00a0organization strategic plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications and Experience<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in computer science,\u00a0Information Technology,\u00a0Data Science,\u00a0or\u00a0any\u00a0other\u00a0related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of\u00a0two\u00a0years of proven experience in data management, digital health systems, or health informatics within the health sector<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in interpreting healthcare trends and using tools like SQL,\u00a0Apache Superset, Stata, or R for\u00a0data exploration and visualization<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated hands-on experience in DHIS2 configuration, systems customization, and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Experience with relevant programming languages and technologies (e.g., Java, PostgreSQL,\u00a0JavaScript)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of national health information systems, MOH reporting requirements, and Taifa care EMR system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a good team player.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills- both written and oral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":618883,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Kindly send your application online by attaching your cover letter, CV and copies of certificates.<\/p>\r\n<p>Please note, the attached documents should not exceed more than 2MBs to ensure successful submission of your application.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Applications should be addressed to:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>The General Secretary<\/strong><br \/>\r\n<strong>P.O.
