Bulkstream<\/strong> is actively seeking a motivated Graduate Trainee in ICT<\/strong> to join our integral team operating world-class commodity handling terminals near the bustling port of Mombasa<\/strong>. Bulkstream owns and operates world-class bulk terminals in the port of Mombasa, designed for the handling of 8 million metric tonnes of dry and liquid bulk commodities per year across the East African corridor through inland terminals, to distribution centres and warehouses.<\/p>\n

This role will manage and support ICT infrastructure. This entails installation, management, operation, and maintenance of business systems hardware and software. The role ensures that all deployed ICT systems and infrastructure are working well for all staff.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Analyzing existing systems and offering new ideas for improvement.<\/li>\n
  2. Participation in the development and implementation of ICT policy and best practice guidelines for the department<\/li>\n
  3. Ensure ICT policies and procedures of the company are enforced<\/li>\n
  4. Participating effectively in major ICT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.<\/li>\n
  5. Identify evolving staff ICT needs and recommend necessary actions.<\/li>\n
  6. Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.<\/li>\n
  7. Review daily backup operations to ensure they are done as per policy and procedures<\/li>\n
  8. Manage assets, inventory, labeling and filing for end user computers and peripherals<\/li>\n
  9. Run Health checks, hardware diagnostics and optimization on computers and peripheral devices such as printers, copiers and scanners to maintain optimum hardware and software performance<\/li>\n
  10. Maintain and support desktops\/laptops Windows applications (MS Office Suite, Management software, accounting software), install vendor Critical and Security patches and updates<\/li>\n
  11. Support computer users to ensure that all computers, software and peripherals are functioning properly including maintenances and upgrades required<\/li>\n
  12. Ensuring strong alignment to, and application of, ITIL based service management processes such as Incident, Change, Problem, Event, Release and Capacity Management.<\/li>\n
  13. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by staff on computing and ICT services<\/li>\n
  14. Manage repair and recovery from hardware or software failures. Review and manage ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.<\/li>\n
  15. Work with other business units and external clients to resolve ICT issues<\/li>\n
  16. Providing management reports on weekly basis<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS<\/h4>\n

    1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in ICT and engineering disciplines such as Computer Science, Information Technology, electrical\/electronic\/software\/telecommunications engineering<\/li>\n
    2. Relevant professional certifications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
