About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reporting to the Branch Manager the FINANCE ASSISTANT<\/strong> with be responsible for Branch credit reports, debtor\u2019s reconciliation, receipting, banking, and petty cash management.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Participate in implementation of the company\u2019s credit control policy;<\/li>\n
  • Sending monthly commission and debtor\u2019s statements and resolve incoming queries on outstanding accounts from intermediaries;<\/li>\n
  • Apply reminders on account to ensure debts are paid in a timely manner and full follow through by relevant intermediaries;<\/li>\n
  • Referring of uncollected debts to debt collection agencies, managing legal action and reference to the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB);<\/li>\n
  • Drive collection of premium debited on a monthly basis;<\/li>\n
  • Tracing and pursuing long outstanding debtors and where possible, assess capacity to settle debts;<\/li>\n
  • Follow up bounced cheques and contacts the clients for replacements as and when it arises and provides a monthly report;<\/li>\n
  • Check remittances (RTGS, EFT, IPFs) and facilitate receipting within 24 hours and monitor daily receipting and banking of all premiums received;<\/li>\n
  • Visit and call intermediaries for follow up on collections and reconciliations to provide a weekly report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<\/li>\n
    • Progress in CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification required.<\/li>\n
