ICT Officer at Dimkes DT Sacco<\/strong> \u2013 an entry\u2011level opportunity based at Kiambu headquarters \u2013 drives the protection and advancement of our ICT systems in line with ISO\u202f27001, ISO\u202f20000\u20111 and ISO\u202f9001 standards. You will manage network integrations, maintain branch infrastructure, safeguard data through security controls, support innovation projects, and produce compliance\u2011focused reports. Role Purpose Statement:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ICT Officer is responsible for managing, securing, and continuously improving the SACCO\u2019s ICT infrastructure and information systems in compliance with ISO\/IEC 27001, ISO\/IEC 20000-1, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements to ensure the availability, confidentiality, integrity, and reliability of ICT services supporting business operations.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n

ICT Infrastructure, Systems & Service Operations - 50%<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Implement, configure, and support system integrations between the Core Banking System and approved third-party platforms by managing network connectivity, middleware, APIs, security configurations, and operational monitoring to ensure reliable, secure, and continuous service delivery.<\/li>\n
  • Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure across all branches to ensure high availability and performance.<\/li>\n
  • Administer LAN, WAN, wired and wireless networks.<\/li>\n
  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain physical and virtual servers.<\/li>\n
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery, archiving, and business continuity support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Information Security, Risk & Compliance - 30%\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Monitor server and network performance and produce availability and capacity reports.<\/li>\n
    • Provide ICT network administration and end-user technical support.<\/li>\n
    • Maintain ICT asset inventory and configuration records....<\/li>\n
    • Maintain and update the Sacco website.<\/li>\n
    • Keep accurate inventory of ICT infrastructure assets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Governance, Innovation & User Enablement - 20%\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Implement and maintain ICT security controls including firewalls, VPNs, IDS\/IPS, antivirus, CCTV.<\/li>\n
      • Monitor, remediate, and document security incidents and vulnerabilities.<\/li>\n
      • Manage user access, mail servers, and security updates.<\/li>\n
      • Ensure compliance with ICT policies, data protection, and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n
      • Perform periodic security reviews and risk assessments.<\/li>\n
      • Maintain software licensing records and ISO images.<\/li>\n
      • Assist in development and review of ICT policies and procedures.<\/li>\n
      • Conduct ICT research and recommend improvements.<\/li>\n
      • Deliver ICT awareness and security training.<\/li>\n
      • Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.<\/li>\n
      • Prepare ICT reports for management and regulators.<\/li>\n
      • Undertake any other duties reasonably assigned and consistent with the role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Ideal Job Holder Specifications:<\/h4>\n

        Academic:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Bachelor's degree in ICT, Computer Science, cybersecurity, software engineering, or related discipline from a recognized institution;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Professional:<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Relevant ICT professional certifications will be an added advantage (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, ISACA, MCSE, CISA, CompTIA, ITIL, ISO\/Information Security related certifications).<\/li>\n
          • Experience supporting Core Banking or ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Navision) within a SACCO or financial institution will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n
          • Demonstrable skills in database administration and systems\/software architecture.<\/li>\n
          • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation skills, with ability to work independently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Desired Work Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

              \n
            • At least two (2) years' experience<\/strong> in a similar ICT role within a busy ICT department of a financial institution or regulated environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
