Location<\/strong>: Onsite (AAR Hospital, Kiambu Road)
\nDivision<\/strong>: Finance
\nDepartment<\/strong>: Treasury
\nReports to<\/strong>: Revenue Accountant
\nReporting into this Role<\/strong>: None<\/p>\n

This role is central to strengthening our billing processes and improving turnaround times (TATs) at our billing points. We are looking for a detail-oriented, efficient, and customer-focused professional who understands that seamless administrative processes are a critical part of patient experience and patient-centred care.<\/p>\n

Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsible for ensuring smooth flow of patient journey from admission to discharge.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Liaise with both Local and International Insurance Companies to issue letters of guarantee for their clients.<\/li>\n
  • Liaise with companies who have direct accounts with the Hospital.<\/li>\n
  • Admitting, discharging and transferring both cash paying and credit patients.<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring all admissions are done correctly by properly coding to the relevant company.<\/li>\n
  • Make arrangements for transfer of patients with financial problems.<\/li>\n
  • Monitoring of inpatient bills and advising insurance\/other corporates when limits are reached.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure all patients files are kept safely<\/li>\n
  • Ensure that doctors bills are attached to the relevant patients files<\/li>\n
  • Produce admissions and discharges report.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure claim forms and preauthorization letters have been attached to the relevant files in the wards.<\/li>\n
  • Follow up on doctors and patients to ensure they have filled and signed the claim forms and preauthorization forms.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure doctors and patients have all the relevant SHA forms and that they have filled and signed them properly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h4>\n

    1. Education<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in a business-related field<\/li>\n
    • Professional minimum qualifications, Such as CPA foundation level(part one), ACCA II,CCP II<\/li>\n
    • Computer literate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      2. Job Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Minimum 2-year work experience in service industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
