The Board of Directors is seeking to recruit a qualified, highly experienced, and results-oriented individual with a high degree of professionalism to fill the position of DRIVER III, AHB 10<\/strong><\/p>\n JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n This cadre is responsible for operating and maintaining official vehicles, ensuring the safety of passengers and goods, and adhering to traffic regulations and institutional policies.<\/p>\n REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:<\/strong> The duties and responsibilities of a Driver will entail:<\/p>\n i. Driving vehicles as authorized; For appointment to this level, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, mean grade of D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; i. \nThis role reports to the Office Administrator I<\/p>\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h4>\n
\nii. Adhering to the Service's transport policies and guidelines;
\niii. Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle's cooling, oil, electrical, and brake systems and tyre pressure;
\niv. Ensuring the safety of the passengers and or goods therein;
\nv. Planning the transportation route based on road and traffic conditions;
\nvi. Adhering to Traffic laws and Government regulations to ensure compliance with the management of government vehicles;
\nvii. Ensuring the security and safety of the vehicle;
\nviii. Performing regular washing and cleaning of the assigned vehicle to maintain daily cleanliness;
\nix. Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of the vehicle's system;
\nx. Ensuring work tickets are authorized; and
\nxi. Reporting any incidents to police and\/or the office immediately they occur.<\/p>\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/h4>\n
\nii. Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive;
\niii. Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III;
\niv. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya police; and
\nv. Proficiency in computer applications.<\/p>\nKEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES<\/h4>\n
